OVARIAN CANCER

National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (NOCC) Early Detection Research Grant
$50,000 one-year award
This grant is related to Ovarian Cancer with an emphasis on early detection.
The Foundation is grateful to announce this initial grant offering sponsored by the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (NOCC) in support of their mission to save lives through the prevention and cure of ovarian cancer. Since their founding in 1991, NOCC has become an important national advocate for patients and families fighting ovarian cancer.

National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (NOCC) Quality of Life Research Grant
$50,000 one-year award
This grant is related to Ovarian Cancer with an emphasis on Quality of Life.
The Foundation is excited to present a new research opportunity funded by the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (NOCC), focused on Quality of Life research in relation to ovarian cancer. NOCC is making this funding available as part of their commitment to investing in meaningful research that serves the ovarian cancer community.

The St. Louis Ovarian Cancer Awareness and Caring Together Research Grant for Ovarian Cancer
$50,000 one-year award
This grant is related to Ovarian Cancer. 
The Foundation gratefully acknowledges St. Louis Ovarian Cancer Awareness and Caring Together, Inc., of NY for their combined support of this grant. St. Louis Ovarian Cancer Awareness is committed to impacting ovarian cancer survivorship by promoting awareness of early warning signs and standards of care, funding ovarian cancer research, and supporting survivors. ​Caring Together, NY is dedicated to providing support, education, and advocacy for women with ovarian cancer and to supporting research efforts aimed at finding an early detection test and a cure. This is the sixteenth research grant supported by St. Louis Ovarian Cancer Awareness, and the twelfth research grant supported by Caring Together, NY.

Amy Krouse Rosenthal Foundation Early Detection Research Grant
$50,000 one-year award 
This grant is related to Ovarian Cancer with an emphasis on early detection.
The Foundation gratefully acknowledges the Amy Krouse Rosenthal Foundation for their support of this grant in their name. The Amy Krouse Rosenthal Foundation focuses on early detection because they know that a woman’s survival rate exponentially increases when ovarian cancer is caught early.

Laura Crandall Brown Ovarian Cancer Foundation Early Detection Research Grant
$50,000 one-year award 
This grant is related to Ovarian Cancer with an emphasis on early detection.
The Laura Crandall Brown Ovarian Cancer Foundation graciously offers this grant in memory of Laura Crandall Brown who passed away at the age of 25 from ovarian cancer. This grant, as part of their mission of research, support and empowering communities, is focused on early detection and is the third grant the Foundation has given in partnership with FWC.

ENDOMETRIAL CANCER

Wilma Williams Education and Clinical Research Award for Endometrial Cancer
$25,000 one-year award
This Grant is related to Endometrial Cancer.
The Foundation gratefully acknowledges Dr. James Orr and Mrs. Vicki Orr for their support of this grant. This grant is intended to honor both Wilma Williams and the tireless work and dedication of all gynecologic oncologists, and to ensure the ability to pass on and preserve the specialized medical skills and tools to those physicians who will carry the torch. This is the ninth grant supported by Dr. James Orr and Mrs. Vicki Orr.

CERVICAL CANCER

ME STRONG Cervical Cancer Research Grant
$25,000 one-year award
Related to cervical cancer biology aimed at novel therapies with an emphasis on immune component.
The Foundation gratefully acknowledges ME STRONG for support of this grant. ME STRONG is a charity committed to serving Central Floridians battling cancer and to funding groundbreaking research in pursuit of a cure. This is the seventh research grant supported by ME STRONG.

UTERINE CANCER

Grant in Honor of Dr. Ginger J. Gardner
$25,000 one-year award
This grant is related to uterine cancer. The Foundation gratefully acknowledges Marcy Regan for support of this grant. This grant is intended to honor Dr. Ginger J. Gardner for the outstanding care given and her dedication to gynecologic oncology in her first year as Chair of the Foundation for Women's Cancer.

GENERAL GYNECOLOGIC CANCERS (NOT OPEN TO OVARIAN RESEARCH)

Grant in Memory of Peggy A. Yates
$50,000 one-year award

This grant is related to all gynecologic cancers except ovarian cancer. No fetal tissue may be used when conducting this research. The Foundation gratefully acknowledges the family of Peggy A Yates for support of this grant.

2021-2022 FOUNDATION FOR WOMEN’S CANCER RESEARCH PRIZES

Foundation for Women’s Cancer/Norma Livingston Ovarian Cancer Foundation Excellence in Ovarian Cancer Research Prize
$5,000 one-year award
To Apply: Submit Full Proposal by November 29, 2021
This annual prize will be given to an individual who can best demonstrate that he or she has been able to use their Foundation award to improve women’s health care by obtaining independent extramural funding, making important contributions to the literature, and/or developing programs that improved women’s health care, including early detection. This award is to the individual and not his or her institution. Only past Foundation** award winners qualify for this prize and should apply by completing the application. Learn More
The Foundation gratefully acknowledges the Norma Livingston Ovarian Cancer Foundation for their generous support of the prize. This is the ninth prize supported by the Norma Livingston Ovarian Cancer Foundation.**Past award winners includes those individuals who received an FGO or GCF award prior to our merging**

Perlman Family CCARE Lynch Syndrome Research Prize
$2,500 one-year award
To Apply: Submit Full Proposal by November 29, 2021
Funding is available for a $2,500 stipend for a trainee to support a summer or short-term research project that advances knowledge about Lynch syndrome and its role in gynecologic cancers. The successful applicant must submit a short summary of the project’s goals and expected outcomes co-signed by the applicant’s mentor and supervisor.
The Foundation gratefully acknowledges the Perlman Family for its generous support of this prize. This is the ninth prize supported by the Perlman Family.

Nina Donnelley and The Dickens Fund of the Donnelley Foundation Young Investigator Award in Honor of Laurel W. Rice, MD
$1,000 one-year award
To Apply: Submit Full Proposal by November 29, 2021
Funding is available for a $1,000 prize to a fellow or resident who has promise to contribute to the field of gynecologic oncology in the future. Learn More
